Blessed to be raised in a home where church fellowship was important, Linda Wixon came to saving faith in Jesus Christ at a young age. She received her undergraduate degree in education from Belhaven College, and a graduate degree in education from Reformed Theological Seminary. Linda has worked as an elementary classroom teacher and in software development and training.

Linda has been a member of the Nagoya, Japan Church Planting Team since August 1998. Her focus was teaching missionary children in a new Christian school that was started by the MTW church-planting team and a Southern Baptist missionary. After being in japan as a short-term missionary for three years, Linda was approved to return to Japan as a career missionary, serving in the growing school. After prayerful consideration, Linda felt that it was time to leave the school and was asked to return to Japan with the Church Planting Team.

Linda serves on the team through her teaching skills, leading Bible studies, and serving with Cynthia Ruble’s ministry, Life Hope Network. In March 2005, Cynthia and a group of Japanese Christians opened Japan’s first crisis pregnancy center. In addition, they provide a place to live for pregnant women or single mothers who need help. Since opening, they have helped both clients who chose adoption and those who became single mothers. They also provide counseling to post-abortion clients, often taking them through a gospel-centered study. They always attempt to point clients to Christ and to get them involved in a local church.
