Tom and Teresa Wilson are based in Nagoya, Japan and support church planting by leading traditional, “classical” choirs and gospel choirs.  Some choir members are Christians.  Most are not.  As we rehearse, we share the message of the songs we sing, which is the message of Jesus.  These choir members become our friends and thus we have more opportunities to share the hope of Christ.  We have seen many people come to faith in Christ, while others develop new interest in Christianity.  Japanese Christians have also partnered with us to sing and share their faith.

Regardless of the genre of music, the results are the same. Christians are encouraged in their faith and worship. Non-Christians not only hear the gospel, but also sing it with their own lips. Believers and nonbelievers alike find that singing God’s praises brings hope and joy. The Wilson’s ministry is growing as Christians in the choirs share Christ with non-Christians and other Christians who have been out of church fellowship come back into fellowship and worship. Non-Christian choir members who have studied the Bible for years connect the knowledge in their heads with their hearts while singing, and come to faith. Other non-Christian choir members begin to attend Bible studies and worship services, and then bring their family members and friends as well.
